Laminated Tablecloth: Tutorial

I love laminated fabric. It has come so far since the days of red a white checkered pattern. You can find a ton of new fun, cute prints, from talented designers like Amy Butler. I found my fabric at Fabrics on Mill Street, they have a variety of fabrics to choose from.

A laminated tablecloth screams summertime parties, backyard gatherings and picnics in the park. Bring on the juicy watermelon! The fun new patterns dresses up any get together while providing easy cleanup. It can easily be folded up and stored in your beach bag or the trunk of your car, great for those impromptu summer picnics. :)

Materials:
laminated fabric
sharpie
cutting tool
sewing machine

step
measure and mark the laminated fabric so that you have an even overhang on the edges of your table. Allow for about 5 inches on all sides.

step 2
cut along your mark line.

step
fold over over the edge of the fabric. (I used scotch tape to hold it in place, painter's tape would work well too.)

step 4
sew around all four edges. top stitch all four edges for a flatter appearance.

Enjoy your watermelon and quick clean up!
